By Cindy Woodsmall
Call me crazy, but I am a sucker for simple, predictable, Amish fiction! I love these moving, easy reads and jumped at the chance to review yet another Amish novel.
Cindy Woodsmall brings readers three novels “centered around love, romance, heartache, and restoration” in this collection (The Sound of Sleigh Bells, The Christmas Sining, The Dawn of Christmas). The books can be read independently from one another – the characters are the same but the stories do not grow upon one another.
I really enjoyed The Sound of Sleigh Bells, enjoyed The Christmas Singing, and read quickly through The Dawn of
Christmas. By the third book in this series, I was ready for a new story line and ready for a bit more
action. Amish stories are often built around the character of the key players, which makes for detail orientated
conversations and storytelling. I do like this writing style, but by the end of the third story I was glad for a break. I highly recommend these novels, I will be passing them on to my family, keep the Kleenex close, but
maybe space the books out and don’t read them all in a row. Enjoy!
Thank you Blogging for Books for this wonderful Christmas book! I get books for free, read them, review them, and pass them on to friends!
