Everyday Conversations about Work, Life, and God

Don’t have enough emails to filter through, file, and delete? Here’s your chance to subscribe to yet another daily or weekly website to subscribe to! The High Calling writes a weekly newsletter pointing users “to the most encouraging faith and work content on our site, in our community, and on the web.”
Always the pessimist, I have a hard time with the key word in the previous quoted sentence – the most.
I read through and listened to a few past newsletters and am here to simply
provide my experience. We all want to know how our faith fits into our profession. When can we talk about God without losing our jobs? Will our coworkers see Jesus in our actions and attitude? Where can I find encouragement and know that I am not alone? The articles are short, easy to read, use personal examples and humor, and are relevant. But…there is room for improvement in the quality of writing. I would rather see just a few great articles vs. more average articles (quality over quantity). Each article you open pops up in a new tab – not my favorite feature(I am computer illiterate thou. Overall, the newsletter is a good idea. It has potential. I would have liked to see a little more effort put into the articles with more personal stories that I can relate to. It is not the most encouraging faith and work content on the web – there are many other fabulous newsletters to subscribe to, but hopefully it is reaching everyday employees who are wondering: “How could a few more keystrokes at the computer mean anything?” (The Smallest Actions Can Change the World”)
