Charming. Clean. Sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed this historical fiction - and I don't often choose fiction or enjoy the fiction I choose - so hats off to Sigmund Brouwer. I have a few basic criteria that I'm a stickler about - no swearing & no sex. My eyes simply can't glance over that junk and I often put down a book two chapters in to it (the grossness usually gets worse, not better, if I try to push on). I digress. Saffire is a girl from Panama who's mom has simply disappeared and no one has been looking for her. A mid-West cowboy with upstanding morals/values is called in to help lay to rest the issue. The author is a clever, graceful, affluent writer. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Thank you, Blogging for Books, for yet another free copy in exchange for my review. |
