Stephanie vs. Everett - nap or no nap? Stephanie wins! He started with the pillow on the far end and two blankets - blankets are no where in sight and pillow is on the opposite end! Either way, I get a few hours to sew, work, and play! Being home has been pretty nice. I wasn't sure if the days would be long or short - but they have been just right (usually). Everett has been very nice to baby brother, and Joel has been sleeping/eating great. We're looking forward to Super Grandma and Aunt Missie flying here two weeks from today! George's work will have a baby shower for us next week, and my work will have one for us the first week of February (when Mom and Missie are here). We are both blessed to work with amazing companies/people! I've been hearing of the terrible weather in Minnesota and just wanted you all to know that Montana winters are warmer, drier, and more beautiful! Just a little plug to make you want to pack up and move west :) See wish list link to the left for Christmas ideas :)
Many are practical, but that's what we could really use this year. Thanks! I've heard a few times...ONLY 'insert number' weeks left! My respond: Don't include only in that sentence. 6 weeks = 42 days, 42 nights, maybe a few MORE, hopefully a few less. I'm uncomfortable and counting down the days, trust me!
We'll see the doc a week from Friday, and after that we will see Sara O'Connell every week until baby comes! She is a brand new doc to the hospital, so hopefully it's an easy labor to break her in. I may have to go for one more ultrasound to see if baby is head up or head down - we can't tell. Pray that baby is head down - there is not much room to flip soon and I want a natural birth again! Everett has more and more new words all the time and is learning how to get what he wants! He loves reading books with us and can tell us which one he wants to read. He demanded tacos for dinner a few nights ago. Fish and hi are probably his most popular words (along with Mom and Dad of course - he gets us confused a little sometimes). Watching animal videos is his favorite! George is out of town this week again - he'll be home Friday, hopefully not to leave again for awhile! He's working outside and the afternoons have been 60 and sunny - probably one of our last nice weeks! We'll probably get snow over the weekend. Fun day - George and I worked so we just took Everett out to the restaurant where Kim works for dinner for a quick pizza. Our evenings are always short because Everett tends not to comply too much once he starts to get sleepy. We start winding down about six and have him in bed at seven, so taking him out after work is very rare.
Our little lion had a wonderful day! Any candy he gets goes straight to Mom and baby #2 though :) He was a big help making a few pumpkin pies the weekend after Thanksgiving! I even get 'help' washing dishes and cleaning up the floor. George called this morning - he sounds great. Been out 9 days now at Tamarack Lake. The crew has people cooking for them and doing all their dishes - luxury camping! He has been sleeping in a wall tent on a cot. Not his typical back country camping! He better not get used to it. It'll be another good two weeks before he is home. He reassured me that he will be home before November though! Poor guy missed the first few weekends of antelope hunting and has two tags to fill!
I don't know how single mother's do it! George has been gone 8 days now and I'm a little tired. More just running out of ideas of what to do - and I am only home with him 4 days a week! I don't know what we'd do if I was home 7 days a week.
George is doing good as far as I know. He is working in the woods, about 8,000 ft I think, and they have gotten snow - lots of it. One night 15 inches; Sunday was a blizzard and I haven't heard how much they got. He will be ready for a HOT shower and a warm bed when he gets home! (2-3 weeks still probably) Everett and I are doing great. My belly is growing right on schedule and Everett is too. He's 33 inches tall and almost 25 pounds. We both got shots on Monday - Everett was not thrilled about them. He has been sleeping terrible for a few weeks but I think we are on the upswing - his cold seems to be almost gone and he is eating/sleeping more normal! Yay for me and him! I have been selling my homemade wool mittens! It's a fun hobby. After tomorrow I will have made about $240 - and I still have a few more to sell. |
